Overview

Provide senior leadership for a risk function operating across an international financial group. The role connects capital adequacy with the broader assessment of financial exposures and acts as a senior delegate to the chief risk officer. It requires the judgment to challenge material decisions while keeping specialist teams focused on the reporting, analysis and governance needed for effective oversight.

Requirements

  • Bring substantial risk-management experience in a regulated financial institution and deep expertise in prudential or financial risk, supported by working knowledge of the other area.
  • Demonstrate leadership of experienced specialists, familiarity with international or multi-entity operations and the ability to provide credible challenge to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee capital planning, regulatory capital assessments and prudential processes, including stress testing and forward-looking analysis of capital requirements.
  • Coordinate risk reporting across entities, checking that methodologies, underlying data and regulatory interpretations remain coherent.
  • Direct the assessment of market and counterparty exposures, risk limits and valuation methods, including models used for derivatives and options.
  • Develop experienced risk professionals and team leaders, strengthen enterprise risk processes and assess the capital implications of new products or strategic changes.

Conditions

  • The arrangement is full-time hybrid work in Warsaw.
