Overview

Shape how a derivatives offering can operate coherently across separately licensed entities. This senior legal mandate focuses on the architecture behind trading products: where activity and risk sit, how clients interact with the group, and which permissions and clearing structures support the offering. It requires judgment early in product design, before an implementation choice becomes difficult to change. The position also builds the legal capability needed to support continuing expansion across products and jurisdictions.

Requirements

  • Hold an appropriate legal qualification and bring at least eighteen years of post-qualification financial-services regulatory experience.
  • Demonstrate substantial derivatives structuring expertise, direct virtual-asset experience and deep command of one relevant regulatory regime with strong working knowledge of another.

Responsibilities

  • Develop legal approaches to derivatives product structure, trading venues, clearing arrangements and the allocation of activities between regulated entities.
  • Partner with regulatory counsel and product leaders on questions involving shared balances, margin arrangements and cross-entity client relationships.
  • Lead regulatory engagement for derivatives initiatives, preparing defensible positions and coordinating specialist external advice when needed.
  • Build and develop a senior derivatives legal team, establishing responsibility, succession and effective involvement in product-launch decisions.

Conditions

  • This is a full-time fully remote position.
