Overview
Lead the engineering team responsible for a real-time transaction and customer-behavior risk assessment platform. The role combines architectural authority with the development of a growing team. You will connect product teams with financial crime specialists through reliable APIs and data contracts that support risk decisions at substantial scale.
Requirements
- Candidates need evidence of leading the architecture and delivery of critical service platforms, including independent technical judgment and the ability to scale a team.
- Experience setting engineering standards, handling integration and governance challenges, and aligning senior stakeholders is essential.
Responsibilities
- Define the core interface and schemas used by products to access risk capabilities.
- Establish an auditable record of assessments and the data streams needed for debugging, oversight and regulatory reporting.
- Set standards for data quality and lineage so decisions remain traceable as the platform expands into additional risk domains.
- Guide delivery and operational performance around availability, latency and service objectives.
- Resolve architectural disagreements across product, financial crime and engineering stakeholders.
- Recruit, mentor and manage engineers, creating clear roles and effective processes for a newly formed team.
- Translate broad goals into a concrete technical roadmap and maintain ownership of its execution.
Conditions
- This is a full-time position with a hybrid arrangement in London.
