Overview

The leadership remit brings quality assurance, process design and learning together across a fraud, risk and anti-money-laundering function. The role defines how quality is measured and calibrated, then addresses systemic causes when standards are missed. It also develops the capability agenda and builds the supporting teams over time. Regulators and auditors need a clear explanation of how controls work, making evidence, communication and operational credibility central. Close partnership with the function’s director and operational leaders helps turn the framework into consistent practice across markets.

Requirements

  • Strong fraud, risk or AML operations experience in a regulated environment.
  • Track record designing and owning QA or control frameworks.
  • Significant people leadership experience.
  • Confidence with regulators, auditors and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Relevant risk, quality or AML certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Own the process-control framework and quality strategy.
  • Lead calibration and remediation of systemic weaknesses.
  • Develop learning and operational capability programmes.
  • Build and lead quality, process and learning teams.
  • Represent control effectiveness to regulators and auditors.

Conditions

  • Full-time hybrid employment in Sliema, Malta.
