Overview

Oversee the operational relationships and processes that support a brokerage's banking activity. The role combines management of a specialist team with direct involvement in payment flows, correspondent accounts and provider performance. It requires seeing the full transaction lifecycle while being able to investigate a specific bottleneck, negotiate a service improvement or coordinate a new banking connection.

Requirements

• Bring at least five years in banking operations, payments or financial services, including at least one year in a managerial role.
• Understand settlement, reconciliation, correspondent banking and payment authorization, with experience negotiating provider contracts and working in a regulated environment.
• Communicate fluently in English and demonstrate the analytical and leadership skills needed to develop operational staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise payment initiation, processing, settlement and reconciliation, using operational data to identify failures and improve the points where transactions stall.
• Manage provider agreements and service levels, address performance issues and coordinate integrations with technology, compliance and operations colleagues.
• Maintain correspondent banking relationships, handling account questions, escalations and operational matters affecting liquidity or account maintenance.
• Set team objectives, monitor key performance indicators and keep payment authorization procedures and operating documentation current and ready for review.
