Overview

Help ensure that consumer-facing financial services operate with clear disclosures, fair treatment and reliable resolution processes. This compliance role focuses on United States consumer-protection obligations, especially electronic-transfer issues and unfair or misleading practices. It connects policy with the practical experience of a customer using a product or raising a complaint. The position requires hands-on review and follow-through, because identifying a weakness is only useful when the resulting control or process change is implemented effectively.

Requirements

  • Bring at least three years of compliance experience in financial services, fintech or banking, with substantive Reg E and UDAAP knowledge.
  • Demonstrate experience with complaint trends, risk assessments, regulatory examinations and documented remediation, together with sound independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the consumer-compliance framework and review product journeys, terms, disclosures and promotional materials for potential consumer-protection weaknesses.
  • Oversee error-resolution controls and complaint analysis, using recurring issues to identify root causes and improve operational processes.
  • Prepare for examinations and audits, coordinating scope, evidence, timelines and the delivery of formal remediation commitments.
  • Keep policies operationally useful as requirements evolve, working with compliance and business colleagues on changes affecting customers.

Conditions

  • This is full-time hybrid work in Chicago, New York or San Francisco.
