Overview

Own the daily details that keep procurement and accounting records consistent. The role follows an invoice from arrival through review, approval and payment, then checks that the result is recorded correctly. It also supports colleagues and suppliers when information is incomplete or a transaction needs investigation. Reliability matters across recurring deadlines, particularly when payment controls and the month-end close intersect.

Requirements

  • Bring two to four years in accounts payable or related accounting operations, including hands-on invoice processing and vendor support.
  • Understand purchase orders, payment terms, reconciliations and basic accrual accounting, with strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Experience with NetSuite, Zip or Ramp is useful; clear communication and independent follow-through are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage invoice requests, confirm coding and supporting documents, match purchase orders where relevant and prepare payment batches for approval.
  • Maintain vendor records and tax documentation, applying verification procedures when banking information changes.
  • Investigate duplicate charges, missing credits and payment discrepancies, and review corporate-card and employee expenses for accurate records and policy compliance.
  • Reconcile payables with the ledger, identify potential accruals and unrecorded invoices, and maintain schedules and evidence for close and audit work.
  • Suggest practical improvements to procurement, expense and payables workflows as systems and volumes change.

Conditions

  • This is full-time hybrid work in San Francisco.
