Overview

The engineering role develops systems and APIs used by customers around the clock. Work includes new features, debugging and performance improvements within a distributed service environment. The engineer collaborates with product managers, designers and other developers, contributing to design discussions and code reviews while building practical production experience. Automated testing helps validate behaviour as changes move through delivery. The position suits someone with an initial professional foundation in object-oriented development who can work carefully in an active service environment and adapt priorities while maintaining dependable engineering standards.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or suitable education, training and experience.
• At least one year of professional object-oriented backend development.
• Knowledge of object-oriented languages, such as C# or Java, and core design principles.
• Exposure to distributed systems in cloud environments, such as AWS or GCP.
• Unit, integration and performance testing experience.
• Collaborative debugging and review skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Contribute production code for real-time betting features.
• Investigate and resolve software issues.
