Overview
The architect owns technical direction for an exchange domain spanning market data, order entry, matching, quote requests, clearing and settlement. Shared patterns and data contracts need to support several services and external partners while remaining understandable to engineers. The role stays hands-on with prototypes and critical implementation, sets performance targets and leads resilience testing before peak events. Operational health, cost and incident learning are part of the remit. AI tooling is also an owned engineering capability, with practical quality checks and evidence of useful results expected alongside architectural judgement. Capacity planning supports forecast demand.
