Overview
Support the risk operations behind an acquiring platform serving Japan, combining card-dispute handling with merchant onboarding and compliance assistance. This role requires fluent Japanese and English because communication moves between merchants, issuers, payment schemes and internal regional teams.
Requirements
- Suitable experience includes two to three years in credit-card operations, payments operations or scheme disputes, together with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Strong customer communication, independent prioritization and persistent case follow-up are important.
- Candidates need to learn operational tools quickly and document their work clearly.
Responsibilities
- Manage incoming dispute queries, coordinate supporting information and complete the forms needed for resolution within scheme deadlines.
- The scope includes manually handled domestic Mastercard and JCB cases, retrieval requests and arbitration-related documentation.
- Maintain working knowledge of scheme procedures and help improve the internal process when requirements change.
- Assist underwriting and customer due diligence teams with merchant documentation, company-record checks, screening and registration requirements.
- Support periodic reviews and merchant-change requests, and provide translation where it is necessary to keep service moving.
- The role also contributes to screening of prohibited associations and to fraud monitoring or related reporting when required.
Conditions
- The position is full time and hybrid in Singapore, with three office days each week and business travel as needed; its operational remit covers the Japanese market.
