Payment Network Operations Manager — Hybrid, Mumbai, India

Overview

Manage the operational relationships that keep an international payment network running reliably. This role works with banking and payment partners to resolve service issues, understand performance and improve day-to-day execution. It connects detailed transaction investigations with broader changes to processes, partner arrangements and the supporting product capabilities.

Requirements

• Candidates need a bachelor's degree and six to nine years of experience in banking or finance.
• Broad payment-product knowledge covering SWIFT, ACH, payment gateways, instant transfers, APIs and SFTP is required.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder-management skills are important; fintech experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payment-related tickets and escalations, establish the underlying cause of failures and coordinate the teams needed to restore service.
• Maintain clear communication with partners and internal stakeholders while following issues through to resolution.
• Use operational data to identify recurring problems and recommend durable improvements rather than allowing the same incidents to repeat.
• Run service discussions with banking partners and track the actions arising from them.
• Contribute operational requirements to automation initiatives and product changes, drawing on experience of payment flows and connectivity.
• Monitor network activity, support new features and make partner performance information useful for colleagues responsible for the wider payment service.

• This full-time hybrid role is in Mumbai, with three weekly office days.
