Overview

Examine trading behaviour that may indicate market abuse and develop findings that withstand independent review. This senior investigative role covers regulated digital-asset trading activity, where changing products and market structures can alter the patterns surveillance needs to detect. The work combines detailed case reconstruction with improvements to detection coverage. Strong written reasoning matters as much as identifying an unusual trade: an auditor or regulator should be able to understand the evidence and the conclusion without relying on an informal explanation.

Requirements

  • Bring experience investigating market conduct within an exchange, broker, trading venue or comparable regulated financial business.
  • Understand abuse typologies, surveillance platforms and query-based evidence analysis, with clear writing suitable for regulatory scrutiny.

Responsibilities

  • Own complex investigations from initial assessment through documented findings, presenting conclusions and material uncertainties to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Review surveillance models and alert thresholds as trading behaviour evolves, helping calibrate detection without losing important risk coverage.
  • Support the integration of new venues, products and data sources into surveillance systems and contribute to market-abuse risk assessments.
  • Use analytical and automation tools to accelerate evidence gathering while retaining human judgment over investigative conclusions and escalation decisions.

Conditions

  • The arrangement is full-time and fully remote.
  • Applicants may be located within the countries covered by InVault’s versioned Worldwide policy.
