Overview
Establish a clear picture when a significant crypto theft or exploit emerges. The role combines incident coordination with hands-on blockchain investigation and responsibility for the quality of the resulting data. It requires working quickly while checking the evidence carefully, following funds as they move between services and explaining the mechanism of important incidents to technical and senior audiences.
Requirements
- Bring at least five years in blockchain intelligence, crypto investigations, cyber threat intelligence or incident response, including ownership of demanding incidents.
- Demonstrate tracing capability across major chains, understanding of DeFi and exchange exploits, and experience leading a small team or contractors.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the analytical response to major hacks, organizing triage, cross-team activity and timely internal or customer communication.
- Record verified incident details and associated addresses, maintaining complete and accurate information as additional evidence becomes available.
- Trace stolen funds across chains, bridges, swaps and mixers, and work with data scientists and engineers on systems that carry attribution forward.
- Investigate exploit mechanisms and produce technical analysis, using AI-assisted workflows where useful while validating the quality of every material output.
Conditions
- This is full-time fully remote work with on-call responsibilities during major incidents.
