Overview
Cloud security in this position spans governance, technical review and ongoing operational support. The engineer examines how cloud services are configured, identifies missing controls and gives teams clear recommendations for reducing exposure. The work involves cloud-native security tools, posture-management solutions and collaboration with development, IT, DevOps and GRC colleagues. Incident investigation and automation make the remit practical as well as advisory. A useful balance is required: recommendations need a sound technical basis, clear evidence and an understanding of how enterprise teams build and operate cloud infrastructure. Basic scripting supports repeatable security work, while posture reviews turn technical findings into prioritised remediation actions. Security findings require prioritisation.
Requirements
- Two years similar technical-security work.
- Azure or GCP/Google Workspace experience.
- CSPM/DSPM and infrastructure-security knowledge.
- Basic Python/shell scripting.
- Spoken and written English.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cloud security governance and posture monitoring.
