Overview
The engineering work concerns information systems that must behave predictably when services exchange data. APIs, asynchronous messaging, concurrent updates and partial failures are part of the problem space. Development spans established backend and frontend code, with Java and Vue among the technologies in use. The role carries responsibility for the quality of changes after they are merged, including tests, review, documentation and production support. AI-assisted development is part of the workflow, with an explicit expectation that outputs are checked and that data-security boundaries are respected. Review practices apply equally to manually written code and AI-assisted changes.
Requirements
- Professional backend/full-stack software experience.
- Relational data, SQL and debugging fundamentals.
- Understanding concurrent updates and integration failure.
- Clear English and secure handling of data.
- Java/Spring, Vue and Kafka production experience advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Develop and operate Java/Vue features and integrated information systems.
- Manage API, messaging and data-consistency failure modes.
- Review and verify AI-assisted code to production standards.
- Improve tests, code review and documentation in established codebases.
- Join on-call response and production troubleshooting.
