Take responsibility for treasury safeguarding and cash management within a UK payments entity. This senior role owns first-line decisions and controls protecting customer funds. It combines detailed oversight of reconciliation and fund flows with liquidity planning, regulatory reporting and clear escalation when an issue could affect safeguarding outcomes.
Requirements
- Candidates need substantial treasury and safeguarding experience, a strong background in fintech, electronic money and CASS-regulated environments, and sound knowledge of UK requirements and reconciliation controls.
- Hands-on CASS 15 experience is particularly valuable; experience chairing or running governance committees is preferred.
- Strong judgment and cross-functional communication are essential.
Responsibilities
- Review safeguarding calculations, account movements and reconciliation results through a four-eyes control process.
- Investigate discrepancies, coordinate corrective action and work with compliance colleagues on incident materiality and notification decisions.
- Prepare management information for governance forums and support the evidence needed for regulatory submissions and assurance activity.
- Chair the UK safeguarding committee and translate its decisions into accountable actions.
- Assess the treasury implications of new products before launch, checking that fund flows and operational arrangements remain suitable.
- Manage cash diversification, liquidity and permitted investment activity while balancing the protection of funds with the practical needs of the business.
Conditions
- The full-time position is hybrid in London, with three days in the office each week.
